Characteristics/Geography[edit | edit source]
Arscil is the main realm from which the paranormal nature of Palo Duro Canyon originates. It is notable as the home of all goddesses, as well as the home of the souls that die within the canyon's barrier. The primary species that live on Arscil used to be the native Arscillians, though souls and spirits now are the primary population after the catastrophe with Ire. Arscil is divided into many subdomains, each governed by a goddess, known as a realm. Paranormal magic happens because the power from Arscil leaks into the canyon in the form of Arscil Soul.
Arscil is described as an infinite canyon to souls that go there when they die. It is full of wonders, and terrors of equal margin. If your body dies in Arscil, your soul regenerates a new body, making this realm infinite rebirth. That doesn't mean you can't feel pain! Your location and fate in Arscil is determined by the Canyon Goddesses who operate their various realms inside. The Canyon Goddesses give more favor to those who respect them more as part of the soul training program in Arscil, which is where the Goddesses will control your fate in Arscil to build up your strength and endurance, both physically and mentally, so you can more easily return Arscil to its former glory. This is because the more respect you give them, the more you will be likely to obey their commands on repairing Arscil. The less "fit" you are, or the less you worship the goddesses, the more rigorous your program will be once you die in order to get you into shape!
You can go to Arscil while alive though a ritual that involves a near death experience that can liberate your soul temporarily. You take an ancient/divine weapon or artifact that is associated with the canyon and plunge it into the ground. The kneel and meditate while grasping the part of the weapon/artifact that is sticking up. You’ll then exist between the processes of life and death so that you could visit Arscil. If you stay for too long, then you’ll wake up where you meditated.

Dvra[edit | edit source]
Dvra is a collection of three close realms within Arscil. It includes three realms relatively close to each other: Lythera (Amina's realm), Ichora (the demon realm), and Circona, the realm of Managire.
History[edit | edit source]
Arscil was created by Iretha. In the same way as smaller realms are the physically imposed mindscapes of medium enlightenment goddesses, the whole of Arscil is Iretha's own mindscape which has been projected by her immense soul power into the form of an infinite canyon.
Civilization of Arscillians developed on it soon after Iretha created it. The Ire incident occurred and the realm was wiped of most life by Ire's power, warranting the addition of new souls to the world to bring back its life. The creation of Ryvia/Managire allowed Arscil to become inhabitable after the accident, but it will require many years to return to its previous state.
Relation to Kas[edit | edit source]
Kas has been to Arscil MANY times.
One time was when he went to Archa's Realm when he was 10 after a failed summoning.
During a near death experience with a cougar, Kas went to Makani's Realm.
During a near death experience with a bear, Kas went to Cyve's Realm.
Kas' great grandpa taught him the ritual to go to Arscil, allowing him to make frequent trips.
Kas was sent to Avera's Realm when trying to summon the demon his grandpa failed to earlier.
