Characteristics/Geography[edit | edit source]

A goddess village is any one of possibly up to 10 or more villages within the canyon. They are protected by the Canyon Caretakers. The villages are native american settlements that go back possibly hundreds or even thousands of years in tradition. They appear sprinkled throughout the canyon and rarely ever contact the outside world, though they are content just where they are. Each village worships a different Canyon Goddess, which is where they get their names from. Sometimes, the villages are led by a mortal incarnation of a canyon goddess, when they get old enough. Priests and Priestesses also live in the villages, alongside hundreds of townfolk (the exact population of these villages are unknown).

The villages are connected with each other by gated pathways, and are situated on a canyon wall.

History[edit | edit source]

The goddess villages may have originated thousands of years ago when agriculture was developed by the native americans, allowing them to congregate together to form communities.
In 1000 AD, some of these villages were attacked by Zazin and Avera's demon forces. The attacks were repelled by Makani and Coyote.

In 2020, the Coronavirus forced the mortal incarnations to close their gates to outsiders.
