Characteristics[edit | edit source]
A canyon goddess's mortal incarnation is a human whose soul contains many elements of their goddess' soul, and whose physical appearance is usually similar to that of the goddess. Through this, they carry many traits of their goddess. Through this connection, the goddess can easily communicate with or through their incarnation. While mortal incarnations are their own person, the goddess' connection with them allows them to be used as vessels if the goddesses wish to communicate something important to the people of the canyon. In addition, if the mortal incarnation feels something (like having an intimate experience), their goddess also feels it.
The Incarnations are meant to provide an additional level of order within the canyon and each incarnation, once they are old enough, can lead their own goddess village. They are in charge of leading their temple/goddess village as well when they are old enough.
Ire Incarnation[edit | edit source]
An Ire incarnation is a special case of a mortal incarnation. In this case, due to Ire's seal weakening over the billions of years since its creation, her essence was allowed to escape and embed her soul in those possessing Arscil Souls, such as canyon natives. If they have a female child, this will be the vessel she uses. If they have a male child, this son will still have Ire’s blood in his body and will pass it down to his child.
Vessels are characteristically described to have immense beauty, reddish pink eyes, and white hair. They don’t even know that they are vessels, until their teen and adult years when they experience fits of possession. While possessed, incarnation's eyes start glowing and develop a sinister aura. Also, if an Ashiri incarnation is nearby, Ashiri will automatically possess them in self-defense.
During possession, Ire is able to take control over their body and will seek out the nearest goddess artifact. If they find it, they can use it to complete a ritual which will send them to Arscil and allow them to break Ire out of her seal.
Individuals/Kas' Encounters[edit | edit source]
Kas has met most of the mortal incarnations. He has even included some of them in his polyamorous relationship. They are as follows:
Makani's Mortal Incarnation, 1900s: stolen by Christians, but brought back by priestesses.
Avera's Incarnation
Archa's Incarnation
Verena's Incarnation
Managire's Incarnation
Teire (Ire incarnation, there is one more in the canyon in addition to her)
