Characteristics[edit | edit source]
God is a being that exists outside of the canyon barrier. God, according to Kas, is very controlling and, when someone dies, he gets to decide whether or not they go to heaven or hell. He forces his believers to try and spread the religion everywhere. Other than this, Kas and the canyon goddesses know little more about him.
Biography[edit | edit source]
God's origins, according to Kas, are not known. The only information Kas gives us about him is that he arrived on Earth before the Canyon Goddesses, preventing them from reigning over too much of the land, and confining them to inside the barrier of the canyon.
Relation to Kas[edit | edit source]
Kas originally followed God, but when he turned four he learned of the canyon goddesses. Through this, he switched his faith. Now, the only interaction Kas has with God is on Quora when he gets bombarded with questions about God.
Questions[edit | edit source]
The Canyon Goddesses have reported a force outside the barrier that confined them to be within the barrier, but can they elaborate more on the nature of this entity and whether or not he is the christian god? Kas specified he won't believe in God until he sees him so perhaps the goddesses have yet to contact the Christian god. In this case, why were they confined to the barrier?
The Church teaches that God is an omnibenevolent entity, yet the canyon goddesses have reported negative relations with some god entity and how he is very controlling. Church doctrine supports the anonymous Christian, which is the theory that by acting in the Christian way (even without knowing Christianity or believing in it or even rejecting it), we can still be welcomed into Heaven: https://www.issuesetcarchive.org/issues_site/resource/archives/anonchrs.htm. Yet, the Goddesses have criticized a god entity outside their barrier for sending people to hell because they don't believe in him.
